What I would like to do, more than anything else, is to win recognition, as a field of applied ethics, for development ethics - embracing all normative issues pertaining to social and economic development, worldwide. My main contribution so far: a co-authored book (with Peter Penz and Pablo Bose) on the issue of displacement by development (what dams and other development projects do to people who are in the way). The next step: co-editing (with Lori Keleher) the Routledge Handbook of Development Ethics, with 40+ contributors from all over.
