Jean-Jacques Rousseau

Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Ph.D., MBA is recently appointed at the Université d'État d'Haïti as their first hire in philosophy physics and epistemology. He also teaches at the Schulich School of Business at York University, and is a research fellow at the Centre for Research in Latin America and the Caribbean (CERLAC). He previously served as Inaugural Technical Advisor in Innovation, Science and Competitiveness to the President of Haiti. His research engages philosophy of science, inclusive innovation, and post-colonial epistemology, inspired by Haiti, the Caribbean, and the francophone transatlantic world. He co-edited the four-volume proceedings Pattern Recognition, Computer Vision, and Image Processing (Springer, 2023). His current work explores AI as modified Kuhnian discipline, knowledge diplomacy and the geopolitics of science in fragile and diasporic contexts.
