I am a PhD candidate at University of California, Santa Barbara doing work at the interface of metaphysics, epistemology, and the philosophy of science. My goal as a researcher has been to explore questions about our beliefs in ordinary objects—the material things we seem to see and interact with daily. I study object debunking arguments that trade on the limits of our evolved perceptual capacities, explore the role of externalism about mental content in responding to object skepticism, and develop arguments that ordinary objects are indispensable for science.
