As an information scientist I undertake empirical and conceptual research that often engage philosophical issues related to information and technology (e.g. ethics and metaphysics of information, data, AI...). In my faculty roles current (Uni Borås) and past (Humboldt-Uni Berlin, Vic Uni Wellington) I teach/taught courses on the ethics of info/data as well as practical/technical content. I have served on the editorial board of ACM Journal on Responsible Computing and have consulted (e.g.) the EU Fundamental Rights Agency on high-risk AI.
