I work in moral and political philosophy, integrating normative and empirical inquiries in order to make sense of and defend meaningful normative schemes that enable and channel personal, social and public life. I also inquire into the working mechanism of intelligence and agency, both natural and artificial, in the hope of reaching a naturalistic understanding of the world as a whole, including the life world.
