João Branquinho took his doctorate at the University of Oxford, where he studied with Tim Williamson. He is presently Full Professor of Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, where he teaches Logic, Metaphysics and Foundations of Cognitive Science. A past President of the European Society for Analytical Philosophy (2002-2005).
