My philosophical research interests are in metaphysics (in particular essentialism, modality and realism/anti-realism debates) and the philosophy of medicine (in particular evidence-based healthcare and evidence synthesis).

I now only do philosophical work collaboratively and where there's the potential to impact practice. If you have an idea you want to team up on, feel free to reach out.

These days my research is mostly in evidence-based healthcare. For a complete list of publications (including scientific ones), see here: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Jonathan-Livingstone-Banks
