I am a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southampton. My research focuses on issues in ethics and epistemology, broadly construed. I am especially interested in issues to do with reasons, rationality, value, and normativity, across the epistemic, practical, and affective domains. As well as my posts in Southampton, I have held visiting positions at Tulane University and Harvard University, and a lectureship at the University of Stirling.
