Jordan Baker

I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School as well as considering ordination in the Lutheran Church (ELCA).

I hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. I'm interested in issues of free action, causation, and metaphysical dependence. My research has centered on fundamental questions about the nature of mental events and more recently concerns about collective agency.

I also have been exploring more explicitly theological topics, most recently how the phenomenon of "burdened virtues" relates to theological conceptions of virtue.
