Jorge Luis Méndez-Martínez

I am a researcher at the International Laboratory of Logics, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy of the Higher School of Economics (Moscow). My research is focused on sound and auditory experience as a general framework and its crossroads with other potential discussions: individuation, dispositions and powers, perceptual justification, and logical representation. My new research project is focused on a mirroring between, on the one hand, the history of science and philosophy in Russia and the Soviet Union, and, on the other, in Mexico. Finally, other research interests are: fictionality, dispositions, authorial intentions, aesthetics and the interdisciplinary connection between philosophy and anthropology.
