Jorge Luis Méndez-Martínez

I am a researcher at the National Council of Humanities, Science and Technology in Mexico (Investigador por México) of Mexico, and a research fellow (научный сотрудник) at the International Laboratory of Logics, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy of the Higher School of Economics (Moscow). My research is focused on sound and auditory experience as a general framework and its crossroads with other potential discussions: individuation, music and well-being, perceptual justification, and logical representation. I am also interested in the history of science and philosophy in Russia and the Soviet Union. Finally, other research interests are: fictionality, dispositions and powers, authorial intentions, aesthetics and the interdisciplinary connection between philosophy and anthropology.
