I am a PhD candidate at Yale University. I'm interested in the intersection of the philosophy of language, the philosophy of mind and epistemology. My current work is on the role of deference in externalism about semantic and mental content. The project has a historical dimension in tracing the development of externalist arguments starting in the 1960s. I'm also interested in how externalism intersects with other issues in philosophy: the analytic-synthetic distinction, self-knowledge, and the question of reference in the text produced by large language models.
