I am currently the James Renwick Hogg Professor of Mental and Moral Philosophy at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.

I received my Ph.D. from Brown University from 1997 - 2003, having defended a thesis on the epistemology of testimony entitled "The Reasons Others Give Us: The Norms of Assertion Account of the Epistemic Status of Testimony," written under the direction of Ernest Sosa (advisor), Jaegwon Kim, and James Van Cleve.

My areas of research interest include epistemology, philosophy of language, the history of modern philosophy, and the history of 20th century analytic philosophy.
