Josette Daemen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Political Science in Leiden. As a political philosopher she has a special interest in the role and significance of values in politics. She earned her PhD title in Leiden with a dissertation about the concept and value of security. Previously Josette studied political theory at the University of Oxford (MPhil with a distinction for her thesis) and political science at Leiden University (MSc and BSc, both cum laude).
