Joshua L.M. Brand

I am a Canadian moral philosopher (PhD, 2026, Institut Polytechnique de Paris) based in Paris currently working on the ethics of AI, explainability, the necessary conditions for moral and positive law, and the relations between humans and AI. While my philosophical perspective varies, I feel most at home with contemporary Kantian and Aristotelian accounts, including Christine Korsgaard, Onora O'Neill, and Alasdair MacIntyre (and a touch of Sartre!).
