I am a mother of two children, one in Grade 11 and one a first year University student. I am also a sister of 6 siblings. My parents are important role models and were both teachers. My father was a teacher and principal and also head of a teacher training college. They passed in 2009 and 2012.
I am passionate about education and qualified as a teacher at the end of 1987 and started teaching in 1988 for the Western Cape Education Department in South Africa. I was introduced to Philosophy for Children in 2016 and am currently doing my Masters in Education. I want to do my research in Philosophy for Children.
