Dr Jytte Holmqvist has a PhD in Screen and Media Culture and Literature in Spanish from the School of Languages and Linguistics, University of Melbourne, Australia. Her thesis examines the cinema of Pedro Almodóvar and (late) Ventura Pons from an urban, postmodern perspective. She is Senior Lecturer in Spanish at Lund University, Sweden, has been elected President of the Hispanic Society of Victoria (est. 1952), and serves as Communications Officer for ALELD (The Australia Latam Emerging Leaders Dialogue).
