My Dearest Colleagues in all over the world,
My only attempt is to make Earth a happier, healthier, and more peaceful place for all, by uncovering the mysteries of the human brain and mind to the best of my ability—through the finest psychological research supported by many other scientific disciplines, including early Buddhist teachings/psychology, physics, philosophy, neuroscience, mathematics, and logic—using robust scientific methodologies. My aim is to support policymakers and politicians; the poor and the wealthy; youth and elders; abled and differently-abled people in our highly diversified world.
In other words, I seek to find the science of beautiful minds and behaviors—the science of compassion, loving-kindness, sympathetic joy, and equanimity—to uncover our greater happiness. If the afterlife occurs, we should understand how to prepare or evolve our brain and mind for a better birth in the next life. However, I have found that this is ultimately a matter of the evolution of intelligence across personal, social, global, and probably universal levels.
Therefore, we must scan and replace the “mind virus” with a healthy one—supported by intellectuals through effective communication, teaching (perhaps the best method being an eight-fold approach), and training (which may be the better or best way). This may include scientific meditation in the broad sense—Buddhist psychotherapy—because more than 37,000 peer-reviewed studies (e.g., in PubMed Central) on meditation suggest such conclusions. On Google Scholar, there are over 60,000 review articles and about 1,490,000 total research works on meditation.
Therefore, training and mindful learning may help evolve intelligent decisions for everyone in this diversified world—especially among great leaders with greater intelligence. I kindly invite you all to participate selflessly in finding our great hidden intellectual potential as one global family. Together, we can create beautiful minds in a healthier, more peaceful, and generous world—with less or no hate, delusion, greed, bribery, corruption, violence, crime, and war. In other words, we can evolve intelligence toward a truly happier world—as it is my only wish.
Thanks to everyone who helped, challenged, or even tried to disturb and discourage us and our work. Your help and opposition have sharpened our minds and behaviors and strengthened the healthy “mind virus” within me.
We came through an untraditional path as independent scholars, without any financial or institutional support, and I have devoted my entire youth selflessly to this mission. Finally, I am deeply grateful to my noble late parents and to the world’s leading institutions that have nominated us for their highly prestigious awards (more than twenty-five).
Thank you!
With all my best wishes,
Most sincerely,
Senarath Dayathilake
