Karin de Boer

Karin de Boer published numerous articles on Kant, classical German philosophy, and Heidegger. She is further the author of Thinking in the Light of Time: Heidegger’s Encounter with Hegel (2000), On Hegel: The Sway of the Negative (2010), and Kant’s Reform of Metaphysics: The Critique of Pure Reason Reconsidered (Cambridge 2020). She also co-edited The Experiential Turn in Eighteenth-Century German Philosophy (Routledge 2021, with Tinca Prunea Bretonnet). Her recent articles include 'A Footnote on Plato? Kant’s Comparison of Philosophy and Chemistry in the 1787 Preface of the Critique of Pure Reason’ (EJP 2025) and 'Philosophy’s Crutches: Kant’s Use of Analogical Reasoning in the Critique of Pure Reason' (Kant-Studien 2026).
