I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Rochester Institute of Technology, where I have worked since completing my PhD, in 2004, at the New School for Social Research. My primary areas of research are within eighteenth and nineteenth century German Philosophy, and deal as well with the revaluation of German Idealism in Critical Theory and in American Philosophy. I am currently (7/2016) at work on a book on the "Reinvention of Idealism in American Philosophy," which focuses on the thought of John William Miller.
