Kristina Šekrst

Kristina Šekrst is a researcher at the University of Zagreb, holding a summa cum laude doctorate in philosophy (logic). She is the author of "The Illusion Engine: The Quest for Machine Consciousness" (Springer Nature, 2025) and co-author of "Introduction to Deep Learning" (Springer, TBP), with over a decade of machine learning research and engineering experience. Her research interests cut across philosophy of mind, AI consciousness and hallucinations, logic, philosophy of science, and astrobiology.
