Kwach Abonyo is an independent researcher in comparative philosophy, with a particular interest in the relationship between African philosophy and other philosophical traditions. His work engages a broad range of philosophical questions across epistemology, metaphysics, ontology, existentialism, comparative literature, literary philosophy, ethics, and aesthetics. He is especially interested in the ways philosophical traditions encounter, interpret, and illuminate one another across cultural and intellectual contexts. He works closely with scholars from diverse fields and traditions in advancing what he calls "Philosophical pluriversality."
