    Isospin and deformation studies in the odd-odd N = Z nucleus Co-54
    with D. Rudolph, R. Bengtsson, J. Ekman, O. Erten, C. Fahlander, E. K. Johansson, I. Ragnarsson, C. Andreoiu, M. A. Bentley, M. P. Carpenter, R. J. Charity, R. M. Clark, P. Fallon, A. O. Macchiavelli, W. Reviol, D. G. Sarantites, D. Seweryniak, C. E. Svensson, and S. J. Williams
High-spin states in the odd-odd N = Z nucleus Co-54 have been investigated by the fusion-evaporation reaction Si-28(S-32,1 alpha 1p1n)Co-54. Gamma-ray information gathered with the Ge detector array Gammasphere was correlated with evaporated particles detected in the charged particle detector system Microball and a 1 pi neutron detector array. A significantly extended excitation scheme of Co-54 is presented, which includes a candidate for the isospin T = 1, 6(+) state of the 1f(7/2)(-2) multiple…Read more

Until the domination of the Jews is crushed, Sweden is not the land of the Swedes!
    Nordisk judaistik/Scandinavian Jewish Studies 35 (1): 90-111. 2024.
This article analyses _Hammaren_, a Swedish blend of _Der Stürmer_, _Der Hammer_ and domestic antisemitic publications, published by the most radical Swedish national socialists and antisemitic crusaders, launched in January 1943 and discontinued on 30 April 1945, the day of Adolf Hitler’s suicide in Berlin. _Hammaren_ fought a global war against an imaginary enemy, ‘the Jew’, described as evil and immensely powerful. ‘The Jew’ was responsible for everything wrong in the world, from embezzlement…Read more

© 2004 Nature Publishing Group. We present here a draft genome sequence of the red jungle fowl, Gallus gallus. Because the chicken is a modern descendant of the dinosaurs and the first non-mammalian amniote to have its genome sequenced, the draft sequence of its genome - composed of approximately one billion base pairs of sequence and an estimated 20,000-23,000 genes - provides a new perspective on vertebrate genome evolution, while also improving the annotation of mammalian genomes. For example,…Read more

Nursing Home Staff Attitudes To Ethical Conflicts With Respect To Patient Autonomy and Paternalism
    with Anne-Cathrine Mattiasson
    Nursing Ethics 2 (2): 115-130. 1995.
Six case studies on nursing home staff attitudes to patient autonomy have been analysed. The case studies are based on six polarities within autonomy, as developed by Collopy. In total, 189 professional caregivers, comprising the staff of 13 nursing homes in the county of Stockholm, Sweden, responded to questions based on the case studies. Results show that the attitudes within each professional category had a high level of internal correspondence. Nurses consistently supported patient preferenc…Read more

    Greenwood Publishing Group. 2002.
The chapters in this anthology examine, among other things, the growth of gerontology as a discipline, the phenomenon of ageism as a socio-cultural concept, identity politics in which older persons are perceived as belonging to a separate culture or subculture, and images of the older body in cultural perspective.

Development, validity and reliability testing the Swedish Ethical Climate Questionnaire
with Catarina Fischer Grönlund, Anna Söderberg, Vera Dahlqvist, and Ulf Isaksson
    Nursing Ethics 26 (7-8): 2482-2493. 2019.
Background: An ethical climate has been described as a working climate embracing shared perceptions about morally correct behaviour concerning ethical issues. Various ethical climate questionnaires have been developed and validated for different contexts, but no questionnaire has been found concerning the ethical climate from an inter-professional perspective in a healthcare context. The Swedish Ethical Climate Questionnaire, based on Habermas’ four requirements for a democratic dialogue, attemp…Read more

Moral Stress: synthesis of a concept
with Kim Lützén, Agneta Cronqvist, and Annabella Magnusson
    Nursing Ethics 10 (3): 312-322. 2003.
The aim of this article is to describe the synthesis of the concept of moral stress and to attempt to identify its preconditions. Qualitative data from two independent studies on professional issues in nursing were analysed from a hypothetical-deductive approach. The findings indicate that moral stress is independent of context-given specific preconditions: (1) nurses are morally sensitive to the patient’s vulnerability; (2) nurses experience external factors preventing them from doing what is b…Read more
