Laure Cahen-Maurel

I am a Research and Teaching Fellow in philosophy (Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin) at the Internationales Zentrum für Philosophie NRW, Universität Bonn, Germany. I work in the field of the history of philosophy, specializing in the area of Classical German philosophy (Kant, German idealism and philosophical romanticism) and in the philosophy of art and aesthetics.

I am the joint founder and editor-in-chief of the academic journal "SYMPHILOSOPHIE: International Journal of Philosophical Romanticism" (https://symphilosophie.com). This is an online, peer-reviewed and open access journal devoted entirely to philosophical studies on romanticism. Submissions can be made in four languages (French, English, German, Italian).

Since 2020 I have been an associate member of the Centre Victor Basch, Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris 4). From 2016 to 2019, I was a Research Fellow with the Belgian Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS), and from 2015 to 2016, a Marie Curie COFUND (“Move-In Louvain”) post-doctoral researcher in philosophy at the Université Saint-Louis, Brussels, Belgium. I obtained my PhD in philosophy in 2014, jointly from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich (Germany) and the Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) in France, under the supervision of Prof. Günter Zöller (LMU) and Prof. Jacqueline Lichtenstein (Paris).
