My first book addresses issues of affinity and sociopolitical hegemony in relation to early modern discourses about the workings of blood Thicker Than Water: Blood, Affinity, and Hegemony in Early Modern Drama published with the Strode Studies for Early Modern Literature and Culture at the University of Alabama Press (2023).
I have also have a second, interdisciplinary research program on the nature and ethics of romantic love, with my co-author Michael Milona (Toronto Metropolitan University). We were recently awarded a three-year SSHRC Insight Grant for this project.
