Lawrence Blum is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy and Distinguished Professor of Liberal Arts and Education. His scholarly interests are in race theory, moral philosophy, moral education, social and political philosophy, philosophy of education, the philosophy of Iris Murdoch, philosophy and the Holocaust, and, more recently, the UK-based project on the “Wartime Quartet,” four prominent 20th century British moral philosophers (Murdoch, Philippa Foot, Elizabeth Anscombe, and Mary Midgley) who attended Oxford University together during WWII.
