This dissertation reconstructs the philosophical path of Italo Mancini, showing the coherence between his theoretical phase (meontology), his philosophy of religion, and his later ethics and philosophy of law. It analyses the forms of juridical nihilism, the crisis of the contemporary ethos, and Mancini's proposal of an "ethical hermeneutics" based on the hermeneutic circle (datum, pre-understanding, practical referability). Special attention is devoted to the relationship between law, justice, and alterity, culminating in Mancini's reading of Levinas and the elaboration of "doppi pensieri" as a structure for a renewed relational ontology.

The problem of reconciling unity and multiplicity in relational ontology has proven intractable in analytic metaphysics. Contemporary debates, exemplified by the Trinitarian aporia, oscillate between eliminativist monism (dissolving relata into structure alone) and atomistic pluralism (multiplying independent substances). This impasse has led some to embrace antinomicist solutions, accepting apparent contradictions as irreducible ontological features. This paper challenges such conclusions by demonstrating that Luciano Floridi's Informational Structural Realism (ISR) and Method of Levels of Abstraction (LoA) provide a rigorous framework for resolving apparent contradictions in relational predication. We establish a functional isomorphism between ISR/LoA and Aquinas's modus rei/modus intelligendi distinction, showing that apparent contradictions like 1=3 are categorial errors confusing epistemic interfaces (LoA: composite relational descriptions) with ontological primitives (ISR: simple informational structure). Applied to divine relationality as a paradigmatic case, this dissolves the logical aporia while preserving genuine ontological mystery: not logical coherence, but the dynamic continuity of relational interpenetration, which exceeds discrete formalization. The model demonstrates ISR's potential as a general framework for ontological pluralism, real distinction without separation, rehabilitating co-primacy of relations and relata through analytic philosophy of information.

This chapter proposes an informational pedagogy grounded in the philosophy of information, epistemology of learning, and ethics. It argues that education in the information age cannot be separated from the ontological and relational nature of information itself. Drawing on Luciano Floridi's framework, particularly Levels of Abstraction (LoAs), the concept of inforgs, and the infosphere, learning is redefined as a non-mimetic, constructive process of semanticization and design. The ethical dimension is developed through a patient-oriented, allocentric information ethics (IE) and an infra-ethical approach that fosters reciprocity between epistemic agents and patients. The chapter examines Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Open, Distance, and Digital Education (ODDE) as two compatible models that promote accessibility and relational co-design. The role of generative AI in education (AIEd) is critically assessed, highlighting both its potential and the ethical risks of uncritical use. Finally, the chapter introduces the concept of Educational-Informational Media Literacy (EIML) as a future-oriented competence, and proposes a shift from a classificatory model of inclusion to one of mutual coexistence within the infosphere.

When language becomes automatic operation, education risks collapsing into performance. The article shifts the pedagogical focus from doing to suspension: the capacity to withhold immediate response and delay action. Drawing on Bartleby's «I would prefer not to», read through Deleuze and Agamben, non-doing is framed as a condition of freedom and thought. This leads to a redefinition of the educator's role and a qualitative research proposal on the educational value of suspension in inclusive contexts.

Mancini has extensively criticized twentieth-century cybernetics, which has transformed the future into a programmable reality and reduced human action to a mere simulacrum, depriving it of its transcendental and religious meaning (§ 1). In this work, we revisit the four fundamental dangers of the scientific project: the self-referential cybernetic project, the manipulation of man and nature, structuralist rationality, and what he calls “categorie della distruzione” (§ 2). The fragmentation of knowledge and excessive specialization have led to the crisis of institutions and the dehumanization of political action (§ 3). To counter these tendencies, Mancini proposed an integrated form of ethics that combined moral and political responsibility in order to recover a unified vision (§ 4). His radical hermeneutics aimed to overcome the barriers between science, religion, and politics, promoting a continuous dialogue among these fields (§ 5). The evocative concept of “doppi pensieri” allowed him to articulate the need to maintain a paradoxical tension between technical progress and human values (§ 6) so that manipulation and technical power may not undermine the democratic framework (§ 7).

This volume offers a concise analysis of Giovanni Gentile's actualism, highlighting the key features of his theoretical position and identifying the elements that shaped its reception in Italy. Italian post-actualist philosophy was profoundly influenced by the Sicilian philosopher, and its development took the form of an ongoing dialogue with actualism. The main figures in this dialogue include Ugo Spirito, Gustavo Bontadini, and Andrea Emo, followed by Guido Calogero, Federico Sciacca, Vincenzo La Via, and Italo Mancini, without forgetting the important contribution of Emanuele Severino. The primary aim of the research is to demonstrate the enduring vitality of actualism, showing that it remains an authoritative and effective philosophical system within contemporary thought, both in its conceptual modifications and in its unresolved tensions.

The article examines education in the information age, proposing an informational perspective. By analyzing the epistemology of informational learning, I offer a framework for understanding how individuals acquire knowledge, highlighting the role of design and models in active and constructive learning. Following this, the paper presents the UDL and ODDE educational models, outlining their key features and potential contributions. I then showcase the practical application of these models through case studies focusing on the use of AI to develop personalized learning tools and inclusive environments. I propose EIML as a competence to address the abundance of information in learning and the need for the concept of reciprocity.

The aim of this essay is to examine the path of the philosopher of religion Italo Mancini related to his early speculative period on meontology and to show a theoretical consonance with his later period of “double thoughts”. The first part of the contribution argues: it is possible to explain the meontological path as prolegomena to the non-being of being through an in-depth analysis of the notions in his youthful essay “e La struttura dell’essere" e "Il trascendentale come fondamento”, understood as status quaestionis on ontology in general (§1, §2); it presents also why for Mancini transcendence and functionality ground his scheme of possibilities (§3, §4); we define why the fundamental reason why Mancini’s strategy works is entirely based on a theology of oxymorons: starting with double thoughts (§5), as an open and structured path, insofar as thought and revelation appear as a hermeneutic circle (§6); in the last part, we delve into the logic of fragmentariness as an integral principle of religious hermeneutics and, finally, a summary relation between Mancini’s first speculation and the last of his posthumous work “Frammento su Dio” is assessed (§7).

In Pensare l’infosfera La filosofia come design concettuale, Luciano Floridi states the value of a correct analysis and philosophical responses within the information age we are living in. The aim of this paper is to suggest several ideas for reflecting on some of Floridi’s topics such as the analysis of presence, relationship and semantization. In the second paragraph, after a brief introduction about the author, I will analyse philosophical insights on the relationship between being and determination. In the third paragraph, I am going to suggest the importance of a correct analysis of presence. In the fourth paragraph, a possible analogy between the philosophy of information and a certain form of neo-idealism will be shown. At last, I try to show how the philosophy of information can play a key role in the way we think about reality, but also its possible conceptual risks.
