Lian Zhou (周炼) is a lecturer in the School of Philosophy and Social Development at Huaqiao University (Xiamen Campus). His research areas include the philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of action. He is currently working on the following projects: 1. Revisiting the essential indexical thesis concerning the connection between de se attitudes and action explanations; 2. A unified account of the meaning of mythical terms such as "Vulcan" or "Phlogiston"; 3. Reconsidering the distinction between de re misidentification and wh-misidentification.
