Der Band veröffentlicht sämtliche Dokumente zur Biographie Dietrichs, darunter unveröffentlichte Briefe Dietrichs und Ulrichs von Straßburg. Loris Sturlese kommentiert diese Urkunden und rekonstruiert somit das Leben eines der bedeutendsten Philosophen des deutschen Mittelalters. Der zweite Teil enthält eine Analyse der Hadschriften mit Werken Dietrichs und entwirft dabei ein neues Bild seiner Wirkungsgeschichte. Das Buch beschreibt aufgrund konkreter Forschungen die kulturelle Situation Deuitschlands zur Zeit der sog. "Deutschen Mystik". Es eröffnet neue Perspektiven einer historisch begründeteten Interpretation der Mystik und der Philosophie des Mittelalters.

This paper examines the attribution to Eckhart of the unpublished collationes contained in the MS Bernkastel-Kues, Bibliothek des St. Nikolaus-Hospitals 21. Eckhart’s authorship was excluded by Koch, but is plausible from the point of view of the history of the manuscript tradition. The paper announces the discovery of a series of similar collationes in a Lüneburg manuscript of Franciscan origin and highlights, through the edition of the texts relating to Advent, some parallels between both works, probably depending on the use of a common source.

Internal cross-references are frequent in Eckhart’s Latin works. In many cases it is easy to identify the passages he had in mind, but several quotations refer to works which are no longer extant or, more probably, to treatises the author intended to write but never actually wrote. This network of cross-indications constitutes a virtual internal memory that links the different parts of Eckhart’s work together in a coherent system. In the German works, the recurring reference to ideas and thoughts already “uttered” seems to explicate the same function, particularly in the hypothesis that they refer to passages contained in a written collection of sermons. In this sense, it would seem that Eckhart’s typical formula “als ich mêr gesprochen hân” should not be translated as a generic “as I have often said”, but as a precise reference to a previous sermon in the collection and simulates orality in the homiletic literary style, in the same...

Dopo aver ripercorso la vita di Alberto, le vicende legate all'istituzione dello studium generale di Colonia e la cultura della provincia tedesca nella prima metà del XIII sec., l'A. si sofferma sulla svolta nell'attività didattica di Alberto, avvenuta attorno al 1250 con la stesura dei commenti al Corpus Aristotelicum. L'istanza scientifico-razionalistica che segna questa svolta ha i suoi cardini principali nella fondazione di una scienza autonoma dalla teologia e nella strutturazione scientifica della teologia stessa. Nella seconda parte del lavoro l'A. esamina la soluzione di Alberto ad alcuni problemi cruciali per l'assimilazione medievale del pensiero aristotelico, cioè la questione dell'identità di angeli e intelligenze motrici, l'inchoatio formarum e la conseguente fissità delle leggi di natura, l'origine dell'anima intellettiva, l'unicità dell'intelletto e infine la dottrina della felicità intellettuale condannata a Parigi nel 1277. Le tesi albertine emerse dalla discussione su questi problemi evidenziano, secondo l'A., la centralità dell'intelletto come fondamento della natura e della ragione umana e danno fondamento alla volontà di «umanizzazione» dell'uomo perseguita da Alberto Magno
