In the article we show that despite the fact that classical empiricism and neo-empiricism have some similarities, old and new empiricisms, nonetheless, differ in a number of ways. After that we highlight the main theses of neo-empiricism. 765Innate cognitive capacities: the poverty of the stimulus argument vs. the curry argument (In Russian)The Humanities and Social Studies in the Far East 17 (3): 99-103. 2020.The article is dedicated to the popular argument among nativists, who use it against the empiricist approach. We analyze the strongest objection against the poverty of the stimulus argument which is the curry argument. As a result of the critical consideration of the poverty of the stimulus discussion, we conclude that the curry argument is quite sound.
