The paper attempts to clarify some conceptual, epistemological, and ontological issues connected with so‐called psi phenomena. In part I an attempt is made to clarify the various ways in which the concept of psi may be used. The concept is tied to the concept of intentional content. It is argued that psi phenomena support some sort of dualist position.
