Małgorzata A. Szyszkowska

The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music

I have been in Academia since 2000. My interests lie primarily in the music aesthetics and philosophy of music. I focus on phenomenological studies of processes connected to listening, singing, and creating via dialoguing, on music performances and experiences. I study aesthetic values and qualities, the categories and their development as well as most recently everyday aesthetics. I have been interested in Roman Ingarden's theory of aesthetic experience (more generally, the Polish school of aesthetics), Theodor Adorno's critical aesthetics, and phenomenological aesthetics.
