Mamede Lima-Marques is a philosopher, computer scientist, information scientist, and full professor at the University of Brasília (UnB). He also was a full professor at the Faculty of Computer Science, Federal University of Uberlandia, MG, Brazil, professor at the École Nationale de l'Aviation Civil, and the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, both in France.

Currently, Lima-Marques is co-founder and president of the Modal Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation.
