After three full professorships in Istanbul, since 2024 Manuel Knoll is Privatdozent of Political Theory and Philosophy at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität Munich (LMU). His main research interests are Ancient, Modern and Contemporary Political Philosophy and Ethics, in particular Deep Disagreements on Justice, Values, and Morals, Ancient and Contemporary Theories of Justice, Plato, Aristotle, Machiavelli, Nietzsche, Rawls and Michael Walzer, Social Philosophy and Critical Theory, Ancient Greek Philosophy.
