I am a Professor of Cognitive Literary Studies at Durham University and Director of the Narrative and Cognition Lab. My research connects narrative theory, cognitive science, philosophy of mind, and media studies, with a focus on mind-modelling, fictionality, immersion, emersivity, and the permeability between real and imagined experience.
