I am an Associate Professor in Cognitive Literary Studies at Durham University and Director of the Narrative and Cognition Lab. My research connects narrative theory, cognitive science, philosophy of mind, and media studies, with a focus on mind-modelling, fictionality, immersion, emersivity, and the permeability between real and imagined experience.
