This volume brings together studies developed in the context of the 10th Leituras da Lógica de Hegel, held from April 28 to 30, 2026. The contributions are devoted to the second chapter of the First Section of Hegel’s Doctrine of Essence, “The Essentialities or the Determinations of Reflection.” The volume is organized according to the three determinations examined in this section—Identity, Difference, and Contradiction—and seeks to preserve the conceptual movement that guided both the preparatory work of the research groups and the presentations delivered at the meeting. The studies approach this movement from different philosophical problems, interpretive perspectives, and possibilities of contemporary development.

O artigo discute o conceito de infinitude quantitativa da seção sobre quantidade da Lógica de Hegel, com a expectativa de contribuir com um possível entendimento filosófico mais amplo da noção de Charles S. Peirce sobre qualidade do signo (quali-signo) e singularidade ou quantidade do signo (sin-signo). Hegel promove uma crítica contundente à categoria de quantidade em Kant, e à separação subjetiva entre fenômeno e coisa em si parecem apontar chave elucidativa para o entendimento das categorias do signo em si peirceana. Para tanto, Hegel apresenta o que é quantidade, quantum, bom e mau infinito, fazendo uso da matemática como instrumento do desenvolvimento desta parte da Lógica.
