I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Assumption University. I specialize in Renaissance and early modern philosophy with an emphasis on the intersection of epistemology and social and political philosophy. I earned my PhD from Emory University with a dissertation on skepticism and tolerance in the Essays of Michel de Montaigne. More recently, my research has focused on Gabrielle Suchon’s epistemology and its implications for her feminism. I have additional interests in the recovery of Renaissance and early modern women philosophers including Marie de Gournay and Lucrezia Marinella.
