Most of my work is on Hume's practical philosophy: I am interested in Hume's ethics, aesthetics, and political philosophy, as well as the interactions between these areas of his thought. I also like to think about writers and other early modern thinkers with significant affinities to Hume, including Montaigne, Jane Austen, and George Eliot.
