82When Success Is Not Enough: The Symptom Base-Rate Can Influence Judgments of Effectiveness of a Successful TreatmentFrontiers in Psychology 11. 2020.Patients’ beliefs about the effectiveness of their treatments are key to the success of any intervention. However, since these beliefs are usually formed by sequentially accumulating evidence in the form of the covariation between the treatment use and the symptoms, it is not always easy to detect when a treatment is actually working. In Experiments 1 and 2, we presented participants with a contingency learning task in which a fictitious treatment was actually effective to reduce the symptoms of…Read more

Exploring Financial and Social Efficiency in Spanish Credit UnionsJournal of Business Ethics 151 (2): 319-336. 2018.As Social Economy financial institutions, credit unions have traditionally been considered less efficient than traditional banking entities. 26Synesthesia in Contemporary MusicHuman Review. International Humanities Review / Revista Internacional de Humanidades 11 (2): 197-204. 2022.In this work we present the complex relationship between sound and color in musical creation throughout history that continues to be fruitful in current musical composition. Synesthesia in music establishes a correspondence between sound and color and has been a constant debate since the 17th century. The complex nature of sound appears from ancient Greece in the school of Pythagoras in which the number becomes the configurator of harmony. Since then, different aesthetic attempts have arisen to …Read more

In the Great Plains of North America rangeland ecology has increasingly recognized the importance of managing rangeland vegetation heterogeneity to address conservation and production goals. This paradigm, however, has limited application for ranchers as they manage extensive beef production operations under high levels of social-ecological complexity and uncertainty. We draw …Read more
