Maria Panagiotopoulou is Assistant Professor of Philosophy of Sport at the School of Physical Education and Sport Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her research lies at the intersection of philosophy of sport, applied ethics, and bioethics, with particular interests in human enhancement, justice and gender in sport, feminist philosophy of sport, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies. Her work also engages with ancient Greek philosophy and its contemporary reception.
