My primary area of specialization is the philosophy of Søren Kierkegaard. I'm particularly interested in Kierkegaard's epistemology and, in fact, have written a book on that subject: Ways of Knowing: Kierkegaard's Pluralist Epistemology (Baylor, 2010). I'm interested in religious epistemology more generally as well as in the philosophy of religion. I'm also interested in ancient philosophy and have a rudimentary command of Greek (which I studied under Mabel Lang at Bryn Mawr), as well as in the philosophy of sport with a particular emphasis on the existential experience of the athlete.
