I work on aesthetic aspects of explanatory reasoning in science, with a particularly soft spot for 20th-century earth science, and on the role of metacognitive feelings in reasoning and decision-making.
I'm a postdoc on the ERC-funded 'Know-How' project (PI: J. Adam Carter) at the Cogito Epistemology Research Centre at the University of Glasgow.
