I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where I also currently serve as Department Chair. My research is primarily in ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, including early Greek philosophy (the "pre-Socratics"), Plato, Aristotle, and Hellenistic philosophy, with special focus on topics in ethics, philosophical psychology, and philosophy of mind. I also have interests in normative and applied ethics, theories of happiness and well-being, philosophy of perception, and the history of philosophy quite broadly.
