I am interested in the different ways in which evidence can support hypotheses. In a lot of my work I have focussed on a relation called ‘normic support’ which, I have argued, can help us to understand epistemic justification and legal standards of proof. More recently I have applied the notion of normic support to topics such as group-to-individual inferences and the ethics of risk.
