I am primarily interested in the philosophy of Ernst Cassirer and its implications regarding our economic and political thought. I feel strongly that Cassirer can provide some much needed guidance in these strange (dare I say "mythically" trending) times. Collectively, we seem to be leveraging both the political and the economic modes of objectivizing our world in an attempt to "jump over our own shadow". Cassirer can help us to return them to their rightful places within culture.
