My primary research area is mental representation, especially structuralist approaches to mental representation, and the nature of representation in artificial neural networks, with applications to explainable/whitebox AI. My research also intersects with predictive theories of cortical architecture (including active inference), motor control, and the nature of structural properties and their causal powers.
