Max's research develops a philosophy of life and explores its relation to aesthetics, ethics, politics, psychoanalysis, religion, and environmental thought. His work draws on phenomenology, modern philosophy, critical theory, and post-structuralism.
His teaching has been recognized with the University Teaching Excellence Award at UPEI (2024) and the Hessian Merit Award for Excellence in Teaching (2026). He has served as the Editorial Assistant of the Journal of Aesthetics and Phenomenology and is completing his first book.
