My research lies at the intersection of Islamic philosophy, philosophy of religion, epistemology, and ethics, with particular interests in faith and reason, intellectual elitism, taqlid, tolerance, friendship, and philosophical approaches to animals and the environment in the Islamic tradition. My work focuses on bringing classical Islamic philosophical texts into conversation with contemporary philosophical questions through clear and analytical engagement with their arguments.
