Dr. Arıtürk began his undergraduate education at Middle East Technical University (METU) in the Department of Economics, later transferring to Ankara University to complete his degree in the Department of Philosophy. He received his master's and doctoral degrees from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Philosophy. Dr. Arıtürk began his undergraduate education at Middle East Technical University (METU) in the Department of Economics, later transferring to Ankara University to complete his degree in the Department of Philosophy. He received his master's and doctoral degrees from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Philosophy. His master's thesis was titled "Niccolò Machiavelli in the Context of Politics, Virtue and Liberty", and his doctoral dissertation was "Normative and Methodological Quest in the Critical Theory: Axel Honneth and the Debates on Recognition". During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting researcher with a scholarship in 2018 at the Hegel-Archiv of Ruhr-Universität Bochumand at Stuttgart University, and a visiting researcher at Shota Rustaveli State University in 2021.
His primary research interests are focused on social and political philosophy and modern and contemporary philosophy, in addition to philosophy of technology and philosophy of childhood. In addition to numerous national and international articles, his publications include editorship of books and book translations.
From 2012 to 2024, he served as a Research Assistant and Assistant Professor at Dokuz Eylül University. During this time, he held administrative and editorial positions, including Vice Dean, Faculty Board Member, and Editorial Board Member and Assistant Editor for the faculty journal. Dr. Arıtürk joined Afyon Kocatepe University in 2024 and is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Philosophy.
