My primary interests are in ethical theory and environmental philosophy (broadly construed so as to also include environmental aesthetics, eco-politics, etc.). Recently, I've been focused on ethical issues surrounding emerging technologies that will have important implications for animals and environments, such as space exploration and de-extinction. My primary research interests have been in ethical theorizing in response to the challenges extraterrestrial environments and space exploration pose.
